All ages welcome!

Barbara Thomas and her daughter Isabel Thomas-Peters are a talented duo!

Debra Keller (left) and Bernadette Rossi (right)

Debra is so proud of her first mini-skein of handspun yarn! I am Bernadette and I have enjoyed handspinning for well over 20 years. For me, it is one of the most relaxing of the fiber arts...though knitting, crocheting, hand sewing, machine sewing, embroidery, to name a few, are certainly fun as well!

Busy, talented hands at work!

What an enjoyable evening! I don't know about you, but it has been a long time since I shared any time with so many interesting people who shared an interest in everything I love to do.

Drop spindles in Action.

Don't you love that smile!

Lois Fuller putting the Spotlight on Handspinning.

During each meeting we will be Spotlighting a different fiber art. At the first meeting the Spotlight was on Handspinning, on both a wheel and a drop spindle. Both the spinning wheels and drop spindles will be available at all meetings for members to have a mini-lesson after the Spotlight demonstration.

Jody Reese works on spinning.

Kathy O'Malley shared pictures and samples of the period costumes she makes for antique dolls.

Whew! Our first meeting is over. How very excited to see 25 new friends all together enjoying all different kinds of fiber. Our next meeting is April 10th 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. We will continue to meet the second Tuesday of each month unless there is a holiday involved. I had a great time meeting everyone. Hope you did too.

The first meeting of the Collingswood Fiber Arts Guild will be held here on Tuesday, March 13th from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Enjoy the cozy surroundings of this historic home while working on your current fiber project or while you learn something about a totally new fiber project.
